Ninjia Miles joins UNCF

Ninjia Miles

Ninjia Miles joined United Negro College Fund (UNCF) as the organization’s new area development director based in the Indianapolis. Miles will be responsible for leading the UNCF Indiana annual campaign and ensuring the organization meets its revenue goals to support its 37 member institutions.

Miles previously served as director of development at BU Wellness Network.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Centenary College of Louisiana and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Indiana University.

Martin University president honored by governor

Sean Huddleston

Martin University President Sean Huddleston was honored at the Governor’s Awards Reception for exceptional efforts in education. The reception, held in conjunction with Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration, is meant to recognize the achievements of African Americans throughout the state.

Huddleston became president at Martin in January 2019.
