The World Food Championships (WFC), a premier global culinary competition, will return to Indianapolis in 2025, bringing its 13th annual tournament to the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.
Scheduled for Oct. 16-19, the event promises a world-class culinary experience for competitors and food enthusiasts alike.

Following a successful 2024 championship, which featured more than 300 teams and 1,200 chefs from over 35 states and 30 countries, the 2025 competition is expected to raise the bar even further. Participants will compete across 12 categories, including Barbecue, Burger, Seafood and Vegetarian, for a share of over $450,000 in prize money and the coveted championship title.

“After the success of our championship event in 2024, we are excited to make our return to Indianapolis this year,” said Mike Eaton, CEO of the World Food Championships. “Beyond that, we are looking forward to adding a number of additional programming elements to this year’s event that promise to make the experience even more consumer-friendly, entertaining and delicious for both our competitors and fans of Food Sport.”
Since its inception in 2012, WFC has gained a worldwide following, popularizing competitive cooking through live events and TV shows. The platform has been a driving force behind the creation of more than 10,000 new dishes and has supported communities through partnerships with local nonprofits and food banks.

“The Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion is the perfect facility to invite Hoosiers and a global audience to explore and experience culinary excellence,” said Cindy Hoye, executive director of the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. “We are extremely proud to partner with the team at World Food Championships to bring this unique and one-of-a-kind event back to our market, which is truly becoming a destination for events of all kinds.”
WFC organizers have hinted at upcoming announcements regarding changes to the tournament model and new features designed to enhance the competition and consumer experience. Qualification events are already underway worldwide.
