A teenager has been charged with setting a fire in a central Indiana movie theater restroom that forced the evacuation of moviegoers.
Authorities say the 16-year-old Indianapolis boy was identified through a tip to police and through surveillance video at the Goodrich Quality IMAX Theatre in Noblesville. No injuries were reported, but the fire last Wednesday caused about $25,000 in damages.
Noblesville Fire Division Chief Rick Russell said the boy was being held Tuesday in the Hamilton County juvenile center on a charge of arson. The boy’s name is not being released because he is a juvenile.
The theater reopened a day after the fire.
