The GEICO Powersports AMA EnduroCross series has added Seattle and Indianapolis to its 2010 off-road motorcycle racing schedule.
“Our studies suggest the two new markets … will be key in helping further develop the already solid following for the sport of EnduroCross,” said Mike Karsting, vice president of events at Source Interlink Media, in a press statement. “Off-road riding and racing is huge in the Northwest, and aligning GEICO EnduroCross with the USGP in Indianapolis will put EnduroCross in front of a new and sizeable group of two-wheel motorsports enthusiasts for us.”
EnduroCross combines multiple off-road racing disciplines, such as desert enduro racing and cross-country racing, along with technical trials-style riding. An EnduroCross incorporates various elements of off-road racing into a Supercross-style setting, featuring rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud, water holes and special obstacles.
The 2010 EnduroCross series will be aired on the Versus Network’s “Lucas Motorsports Hour.”
