Two-time Libertarian Party candidate for governor Andy Horning is moving from Indiana.
The party announced Wednesday that Horning and his family were leaving their home in the central Indiana town of Freedom because he was starting a new job in Texas.
Horning was the Libertarian gubernatorial candidate last year and received about 2 percent of the vote. He also was the Libertarian nominee for governor in 2000 and was the Republican candidate in 2004 against the late U.S. Rep. Julia Carson in Indianapolis.
Former Libertarian state chairman Todd Singer says Horning inspired younger voters with a message of freedom, personal responsibility and constitutional government.
