Divers have found the body of a 33-year-old New Whiteland man who didn’t resurface after jumping from a boat into Lake Monroe at the Paynetown State Recreation Area.
The Herald-Times of Bloomington and WTHR-TV in Indianapolis report authorities recovered the body of David Richards on Friday night.
He was with family members when he jumped into the water earlier in the day, began having leg cramps and went under the water about 150 feet from shore.
Authorities were called after he had been missing 15 minutes in Indiana’s largest inland lake.
