The Recorder’s top five places to go for fireworks

This Thursday, fireworks around Indy will take to the skies with a dazzling display in honor of the Fourth of July. Here’s a list of the Recorder’s top five places to go to celebrate.  

Downtown Indy’s Fourth Fest  

American Legion Mall, 700 N. Pennsylvania St., St. Clair Street to North Street between Meridian and Pennsylvania streets, Indianapolis 

6 p.m. (fireworks start around 10 p.m.)  

Free 

Enjoy the fireworks show while eating dishes from food trucks and ice cream stands at Downtown Indy’s Fourth Fest. The event will also feature live music and fireworks synced to music on these Radio One stations: 106.7 WTLC, WIBC 93.1 FM and Country 97.1 HANK FM. See more information here.  

Zionsville Lion Club 4th of July Celebration 

Zionsville Lions Park, 11053 Sycamore St.  

5 p.m. 

$8 per vehicle  

The Zionsville Lion Club, in collaboration with the Town of Zionsville, is hosting their annual Fourth of July Celebration sponsored by Partners in the Park. The celebration will include music from a DJ, festival food, a raffle and, of course, a fireworks show. See more about the celebration here

City of Lawrence 4th Fest  

Lawrence Community Park, 5301 N. Franklin Rd.  

6 –10:40 p.m. (fireworks start around 10 p.m.)  

Free 

City of Lawrence’s 4th Fest will boast a stunning fireworks show and a variety of vendors featuring everything from Shaved Ice Unlimited, to Carnitas el Tarasco, to Light up Toys. For more details, visit this link.  

Fourth of July Fireworks  

Nickel Plate District Ampitheater, 6 Municipal Dr.  

Cyntheanne Park, 12383 Cyntheanne Rd 

Geist Reservoir 

10 – 11 p.m. 

Free  

Celebrate the holiday with a fireworks show across Fishers. The celebration will include fireworks launched from three different locations, including a show with a view from the water at Giest Reservoir. To find out more, use this link.  

CarmelFest Fireworks  

Carmel Ice Skadium, 1040 3rd Ave. SW  

9:45 p.m.  

Free 

Viewers will be able to watch the CarmelFest Fireworks show from anywhere in downtown Carmel at an event sponsored by Napleton Automotive Group. For those who can’t make it, it will be livestreamed by Indy Business Promotions and available on YouTube, at Carmel’s TV station or on the Midtown Screen. Find more details here
