Explore some of Indiana’s exquisite places of worship by exploring five of Indianapolis’ historic churches, all open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 418 E. 34th St.

New Circle Church, 3421 N. Park Ave.

Trinity Episcopal Church, 3243 N. Meridian St.

The tour features a go-at-your-own-pace tour structure, meaning tour attendees are responsible for their own transportation between the five locations. It is recommended that tour attendees allot two hours to experience the full tour.

Each house of worship will have representatives on-site to guide and answer questions. Architectural features, new and old, will be on display to showcase the churches’ historic foundations and how they have developed over the years.

Indiana Landmarks hosts this tour in partnership with local congregations displaying new features such as the recently completed restoration work at Broadway United Methodist, backed by a $400,000 grant provided by Indiana Landmarks’ Sacred Places Indiana Fund.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Indiana Landmarks’ Sacred Places Indiana program.

Tickets are available to purchase in advance or on the day of the tour, Dec.6 at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, where attendees will also receive a tour program and a guide map.

Advance tickets are $20 for adults (ages 12 and up), $15 for members of Indiana Landmarks, $10 for children (ages 6-11); children ages 5 and under are free.

Day-of-tour tickets cost an additional $5 per ticket and may be purchased at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, beginning at 10 a.m. on Dec. 6. Tickets are available through Indiana Landmarks or Eventbrite.
