The Indianapolis City-County Council will hold its next full council meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026, beginning at 7 p.m. The session takes place at the City-County Building in downtown Indianapolis, in the Public Assembly Room at 200 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.

Councilors from all 25 districts will convene to consider legislative proposals advancing from committee hearings, including budget amendments, contract authorizations, infrastructure funding and neighborhood development matters. Public safety appropriations and community services funding could also be on the docket as council leadership works through the first quarter of the year.

How to participate or watch

  • In-person attendance is open to the public. There’s typically a public comment period at the start of the meeting for residents who register in advance or arrive early.
  • The meeting will be livestreamed online through the city’s official government access platform. A common stream link used for City-County Council and other city government meetings is available at indy.gov/activity/channel-16-live-web-stream — where residents can watch in real time. Archived recordings are also posted after meetings.
  • Meetings are also broadcast on local government access channels (Channel 16 on Xfinity and Channel 99 on AT&T U-verse).

Agenda and proposals

The council’s official agenda and proposal summaries are typically posted by Friday before the meeting on the city’s legislative meeting calendar. Residents can visit the City-County Council section of indy.gov to view the full agenda once it’s published.
