The Candy Cane Cottage Competition at Castleton Square Mall and Greenwood Park Mall is now officially accepting entries.
The festive contest will benefit The Villages, an Indianapolis organization that champions every child’s right to a safe, permanent and nurturing home.
Families and children 12 and under are invited to let their imaginations run wild to create a completely edible gingerbread house/candy cane cottage, then submit their “delish digs” to the Castleton Square Mall or Greenwood Park Mall Management Offices.
All entries must be submitted with a completed entry form (available at Guest Services) at the Castleton Square or Greenwood Park Management Offices, Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The deadline is Nov. 21.
On Nov. 22, 12 finalists per mall will be selected based on overall appearance, originality/creativity, and consistency of theme (the use of candy cane and peppermint sweets). The finalists’ work will be displayed in Center Court at Castleton Square and Von Maur/JCPenney Court at Greenwood Park. Each finalist will receive a free photo with Santa, courtesy of Photographic Instant Memories.
