The Indianapolis Recorder and Herd Strategies: Voter Awareness event

More by this author

The Indianapolis Recorder and Herd Strategies will present the second in a series of voter awareness forums on Thursday September 24, 2015 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Central Library (40 E. St. Clair St. Indianapolis, IN 46204).

Declining voter turnout in low-income and minority communities coupled with myths surrounding the voting rights of ex-felons and other underrepresented groups reinforces the need to provide opportunities for residents to become educated and informed.

The aim of this forum is to help minority communities, college students, ex-felons and individuals with language barriers better understand voting rights in Indiana as well as the overall electoral process. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance designed to eliminate obstacles that may prevent individuals from making it to the polls on Election Day.

A strong democracy requires active participation from all members of our community. Mark your calendar now to attend.

Your vote matters. We can’t wait.
