The first annual Black Brew Fest is coming to Newfields this fall.
The festival, which aims to highlight local and regional Black-owned businesses specializing in brews, wines and spirits and will take place Oct. 22 at The Garden on Newfields’ campus.
Guests will receive a beverage passport, which will allow them to peruse the businesses, sip on some seasonal beverages and sample beer, wine and spirits — including non-alcoholic options, such as tea and juice. Guests can also purchase full-sized versions from Black artisans across the state, such as Aperture LLC, Follow D Money Podcast, Moor’s Beer Company, Sip & Share Wines and more.
Lunch and snacks will be available through Sincere Catering and Events, Garden Terrace and more local food vendors. Mo Head Ya’ll craft beef podcaster and beer expert Ant Blair will have a special brew for guests to try.
Tickets to Black Brew Fest are 21+ $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers; include general admission to Newfields as well as lawn games, live DJ performances and podcast recordings.
