Master the art of iPhone photography at Conner Prairie

More by this author

The best camera is the one you have with you, and for many, that means their iPhone. Conner Prairie Interactive History Park, Indiana’s only Smithsonian Affiliate, is excited to partner with local photographer Rad Drew to offer an iPhoneography Basics Workshop on Oct. 5.

Attendees will be introduced to the fundamentals of iPhone photography, explore the possibilities of their iPhone, and learn how to use a host of apps (additional fees) to create remarkable images. In keeping with the experiential model that is at the core of the Conner Prairie experience, Drew will follow a simple, yet effective approach that will allow attendees to see what can be done, how it’s done, and then practice those skills.

After an initial learning session, the group will step outside to photograph Conner Prairie’s historic grounds, applying their newly acquired skills. To close, participants will return to the classroom to process images and discuss the learning experience.

The workshop is for novices and professionals alike and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 5. Early-bird registration is $60 (open through Sept. 28) and $72 thereafter.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite at https://iphoneographyatcp.eventbrite.com or by calling Guest Services at (317) 776-6006. The workshop is for iPhone users only.
