‘Seeking Counsel’
Enjoy the premiere of local producer Josiah McMiller’s film ‘Seeking Counsel,’ which tells the story of a reverend who has to come to grips with issues of addiction in his family. Black Lives Matter Community Care
On Saturday, Dec. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Indy10 Black Lives Matter will be giving out clothing, toiletries and supplies to people who are experiencing homelessness. The group will meet across from the Central Library, and the community is welcome to attend. Individuals can donate items for the giveaway at the Kheprw Institute, 3549 Boulevard Place, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, until Dec. 22.
PAWS to read at Glendale
Beginning or reluctant readers are invited to read to a non-judgmental registered therapy dog who loves to listen to stories! It’s a great way to improve a child’s reading skills and self-confidence. Latin Dance Party
Dance the night away each Thursday at the Jazz Kitchen’s Latin Dance Party. The cover charge is $7 and ladies get in free until 10 p.m. There will be a full dinner menu offered from 5–10 p.m. and free dance lessons at 8 p.m. The night will feature Latin music ranging from salsa, merengue, bachata and more.
