For a second year, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Departmentās Community Engagement and Outreach Bureau will host a free academy program for middle school students.
Youth will have an opportunity to learn about various jobs and functions within IMPD, participate in hands-on activities such as CSI/ Crime lab investigations, conflict resolution and more during the week-long program. The goal is to bridge the gap between law enforcement and youth while fostering relationships.
The program will begin on Monday June 26 and will conclude June 30 with a town hall discussion and graduation.
The program is free for middle school students ages 12 -14.
