West side residents will soon have access to new arts and community programming.

Beginning in April, the International District Center will host free community programming, including neighborhood meetings and painting experiences for residents of all ages.

As demand grows, the International District Center hopes to grow with it, expanding its reach through free programming and opportunities that not only bring the community together but also support creative expression and strengthen neighborhood connections, according to a press release.

On April 2, the International District Center will host a community-driven town hall from 6-7:30 p.m. The event is aimed at “bringing residents together to discuss priorities, share updates and strengthen neighborhood connections,” according to a press release.

A beginner-friendly watercolor experience will take place at the center from 6-7:30 p.m. on April 28. The new monthly program is designed to create a space for kids ages 8+ to explore creativity, connection and stress relief. Sessions will take place each last Tuesday of each month, with all materials provided, according to a press release.

The International District Community Center, 3540 Commercial Drive, is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. For more information or to view upcoming programming, visit InternationalDistrict.com
