Rev. Leah Gunning Francis will join IU Health as its new senior vice president and chief mission and values officer.
Her position entails providing “direction to ensure engagement in ethical practice, quality spiritual and pastoral care and effective philanthropy within the organization and communities where IU Health is active,” according to a press release. She will oversee departments including chaplaincy, spiritual care and congregational partnerships, clinical and organizational ethics, and system archives.
Gunning Francis was formerly vice president for academic affairs at Christian Theological Seminary, as well as the dean of faculty since 2016.
