Martin University is collaborating with The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis, AmeriCorps/Serve Indiana and Keeping Indianapolis Beautiful to host the AmeriCorps Day of Service & Remembrance Program on Sept. 11.
The initiative is dedicated to honoring the lives lost on 9/11 and will gather volunteers for a day of community service to beautify the Martin University Campus. Services will include landscaping, cleaning and the construction of benches donated by sponsoring organizations.
A commemoration ceremony will be held to honor Veteran students of Martin University.

Their pursuit of education embodies the resilience and commitment that this day represents.”
The initiative is part of a national effort aimed at transforming the tragedy of 9/11 into a day of community action and service.
