The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, in partnership with its Black Volunteer Caucus, will host a virtual fireside chat noon-1 p.m. June 28 to help the Black community obtain better access to cancer care.
Guest speakers will discuss the DIVERSE Trials Act, which focuses on diversifying clinical trial enrollment.
Participants must register on fightcancer.org, where they can write questions for the speakers. Registration is free.
The program is meant to address the Black community’s years of mistrust in health care after the effects of previous racist clinical trials such as the Tuskegee Study.
