The work search requirements to receive unemployment benefits will be required starting June 1.
The weekly requirement was waived during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hoosiers who apply for unemployment benefits must provide proof of actively seeking full-time work to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD). Work search activities include applying for a job, attending a job fair, participating in a WorkOne orientation or completing an online workshop. DWD will notify those affected by the change to allow enough time to prepare for the requirements.
