Earlier this week, Mayor Hogsett paid a visit to Washington Park to fellowship with the Young at Heart dance troupe.
The dancers were celebrating their recent Seniors Got Talent win and the mayor along with Indy Parks leadership were on hand to congratulate them on the $1,000 cash prize and their upcoming 10-year anniversary.
Through the contest, Young at Heart won the most online votes for a video showcasing the group’s dance moves. This is the second year they’ve won the competition’s top award.
The group, which has over 80 members ages 55-90, even took Hogsett through an impromptu line dancing session!
Young at Heart holds practice sessions at Washington Park on Mondays and Wednesdays. The popular dancers have performed at the Indiana State Fair, Circle City Classic Parade, Indiana Black Expo and more.
