The Cleveland Browns and New York Jets will square off in the 2023 NFL Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, August 3. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. ET at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. It will be the first preseason game of the 2023 NFL season.
First, the Browns are coming off a subpar 2022 season, in which they went 7-10. The Jets ended the 2022-23 season in horrid fashion, finishing with an identical 7-10.
Additionally, the 2023 Hall of Fame Game will feature several former NFL greats, including Darrelle Revis, DeMarcus Ware and Zach Thomas. Revis, Ware and Thomas will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 5.
The game will be televised nationally on NBC. The 2023 Hall of Fame Game will be streamed live on Peacock. The event will be played in front of a sellout crowd of approximately 23,000 fans.
Moreover, the Browns and Jets are both expected to be competitive in the 2023 season. The Browns have a talented roster, led by quarterback Deshaun Watson and defensive powerhouse Myles Garrett. The Jets also have a unique team backed by future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the fan-favorite cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner.
Summarily, The 2023 Hall of Fame Game is a great opportunity for both teams to get a head start on the season. The game is a chance for fans to see some of the NFL’s greatest players in action.
