‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ – a family, feel-good story

More by this author

As the days grow cooler, bring the family together and cozy up with a classic as Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre presents “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the stage adaptation of the famous 1946 Frank Capra film.

Loved for generations, “It’s a Wonderful Life” takes us on George Bailey’s journey of self-discovery, under the guidance of his unforgettable guardian angel, Clarence. Just when he thinks it can’t get any worse, George realizes they couldn’t be any better.

On stage Oct. 13 through Nov. 20, this remarkable story reminds us to appreciate the simple joys, even when the world’s demands get in the way. The ring of a bell. Flower petals in a pocket. The love of family. The support of friends. These fill our hearts and lives with joy, and teach us to value what is truly important – and what makes this a wonderful life.

Sean Patrick Hopkins makes his Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre debut in the iconic role of George Bailey. He is joined by fellow newcomer Betsy DiLellio as Mary Hatch. Eddie Curry plays George’s lovable guardian angel Clarence, while Douglas E. Holmes plays the miserly Mr. Potter, and Jeff Stockberger is Uncle Billy Bailey.

There are 46 performances of “It’s a Wonderful Life” scheduled at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Tickets range from $36 to $59, and include a dinner buffet.

For reservations, call the Beef & Boards Box Office at (317) 872-9664. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays.
