The stations of Radio One Indiana — 106.7 WTLC-FM, WHHH-FM Hot 96.3, AM1310 The Light and the Mozel Sanders Foundation will hold the 10th Annual Broadcast Radiothon this weekend of November 9th and 10th. In addition to the live broadcasts, those attending the radiothon will enjoy prize giveaways and the opportunity to donate to a worthy cause. Hoosiers are asked to stop by the Lafayette Square Mall and Circle Center Mall Food Court Areas, during the regular mall hours 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and meet their favorite 106.7 WTLC-FM, WHHH-FM Hot 96.3 and 1310AM The Light on-air personalities and donate to a worthy cause. The Radiothon will be held to raise money and sign-up volunteers for the annual Mozel Sanders Thanksgiving Day Dinner. Proceeds cover 85 percent of the operating costs associated with preparing over 25,000 turkey dinners.

The Mozel Sanders Foundation has been feeding the less fortunate of Indianapolis for over 30 years. The Thanksgiving Day Dinner brings people together to help those in need during the holiday season. Butler University donates the use of its main kitchen for the Thanksgiving meal food preparation and Federal Express (Fed Ex) trucks deliver all of the 30,000+ turkey dinners to central Indiana food pantries, churches, community centers, and individuals’ homes. Over 25,000 people were served a hot nutritional meal in 2006 and previous years.

Thanksgiving Day Dinners will be delivered to various satellite church locations throughout central Indiana. Individuals and families in need can call to order their dinner(s) for Thanksgiving at (317) 636-7985. Fed Ex will deliver meals to individual homes and the satellite church locations beginning early Thanksgiving morning and will continue until 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day volunteers for the event should come to Atherton Hall, located at 704 W. Hampton Drive on the Butler University campus.

Sponsors of the Radio One Mozel Sanders Foundation Radiothon are Franklin College and the American Dairy Association. To make a contribution or to volunteer, go to www.wtlc.com and click on Mozel Sanders icon to submit your name.
