INDIANAPOLIS, IN – April 1st – The Kroger Co. announced results from its “Daffodil Days” fund-raising campaign on behalf of the American Cancer Society (ACS) held in select stores in greater Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and South Bend, Indiana. During the March 18th to 22nd event, $10 bunches of daffodils were sold in select Kroger stores. All proceeds were donated, raising $7,230 for the American Cancer Society.
According to Kroger Central Division Public Affairs Manager John Elliott, “Our multi-state partnership with the American Cancer Society continues to grow in rewarding and valuable ways. The Daffodil Days fund-raiser is just one of the ways we have recently expanded our partnership and we look forward to continued collaboration with the American Cancer Society. Their efforts in the fight against cancer are helping many customers and associates in the Kroger family and we are extremely grateful.”
Stephanny Smith, Head of Corporate Relations for the Great Lakes Division of the American Cancer Society, added, “The American Cancer Society appreciates the ongoing support of Kroger and its customers. Money raised through the Daffodils promotion will help fund programs and resources for cancer patients and caregivers. No one has to face cancer alone.”
