INDIANAPOLIS – (March 4, 2010) Pack your swimsuit and head over to Thatcher Park this Saturday for the grand reopening of the park’s aquatic facility! Swing by the luau-themed beach party to try out the pool’s new amenities – including a 13-foot climbing wall! The event begins at noon, with open swim free of charge continuing through 4 p.m. Celebrate Indy Parks’ recent $500,000 investment in the facility, which includes replacement of the pool HVAC and dehumidification system, patio doors, and all toilet and shower stall partitions; painting of the ceiling and walls in the pool area and locker rooms; and resurfacing of the pool deck and locker room floors. And be sure to check out Cartoon Express artists’ 18-foot mural that unveils Indy Parks’ new mascots!
