Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) is putting its people first by launching the myIPS Employee & Family Clinic at Howe, a wellness center created in partnership with Ascension St. Vincent.

Open since August 2024, the clinic has already served 403 individuals, including 318 IPS employees, 23 spouses and 62 dependents.

From mental health counseling to on-site prescription pickup, the clinic offers services designed to meet the diverse needs of IPS employees and their families at no cost.

“This initiative is one more way we’re taking care of our people — and it’s already making a difference,” said Christiana Aden Hamer, IPS chief human resources officer. “Partnering with Ascension St. Vincent to bring this invaluable resource to our IPS employees and their families has been a game changer.”

Survey results back up Hamer’s statement. Patient satisfaction averaged 88.8% between September and December, while physician ratings consistently exceeded 93%.

  • Prescription pickup or delivery for convenience

With its holistic approach to employee wellness, the clinic represents a bold step in redefining how IPS supports its staff and their loved ones.
