Community Hospital East has been named the best hospital in Indiana by Newsweek in its 2025 America’s Best-In-State Hospitals rankings.

In 2020, the hospital completed a $175 million redevelopment project, which included a new hospital tower with an upgraded emergency department, surgical suites, private maternity rooms, a Level 3 NICU and modern inpatient facilities.

“We are incredibly honored to be recognized as the top hospital in Indiana,” said Paige Dooley, Community Hospital East vice president and hospital administrator. “This award is a testament to the dedication of our providers and caregivers who work tirelessly every day to serve our community with compassion and excellence.”

The Newsweek rankings are based on hospital quality metrics, patient experience surveys and recommendations from medical professionals. Community Hospital East’s top ranking highlights its clinical outcomes, innovation and patient satisfaction.

In addition to clinical care, the hospital focuses on addressing social determinants of health, including transportation and food access. It partners with local schools, Meals on Wheels and other organizations to support community well-being.
