Peerless Pump Co. is seeking to fill 30 available positions for its Indianapolis headquarters. The company is in a high growth phase and anticipates even more jobs to become available in the near future. Available positions include engineers, metal refinishers and machinists.

“We have significantly grown our international business,” said Andrew Warrington, Peerless Pump president. “Our ambition is to grow both our domestic and international business. This has created the need to add talented individuals to help take us to the next level.”

Peerless Pump is looking to hire individuals who are willing to build upon their current skills to grow with the highly specialized organization. Peerless Pump will use the services of WorkOne to identify qualified job candidates and prepare additional job seekers to fill future vacancies.

“EmployIndy’s strategic partnerships with growing employers like Peerless Pump is paying off in Indianapolis,” said Brooke Huntington, president and CEO of EmployIndy. “Our WorkOne Business Solutions team works with Indianapolis employers to provide custom employment and training services, including an on-site career fair for Peerless Pump, to more effectively match skilled workers with employer needs. We will also provide the follow-up assessments and on-the-job training needed so that the candidates are job-ready. The partnership benefits job seekers and employers alike.”

“This partnership with EmployIndy builds upon our efforts to strategically grow our organization,” added Warrington, who also serves as chair of the EmployIndy board. “We are confident in the future of our business and that we will continue to grow our business from Indianapolis.”

Peerless Pump has called Indianapolis home since 1946, when the company acquired a tank factory from the U.S. government. Since 2007 Peerless Pump has operated as a subsidiary of Grundfos, an international pump manufacturer with more than 100 international locations. Peerless Pump manufactures a wide variety of clean water pumps serving the industrial, commercial, municipal and agriculture markets.

The Indianapolis facility has been specially designed to build and test large water pumps.
