On Monday, Jan. 1, the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee (GIPC) organized the inaugural swearing-in event for Mayor Joe Hogsett and the City-County Council members. The ceremony took place at Indiana Landmarks. Hogsett, serving as the 49th Mayor of the City of Indianapolis, took the oath for his third term. The Honorable Tanya Walton Pratt, chief judge of the Southern District of Indiana, officiated the swearing-in, administering the Oath of Office to the City-County Councilors representing the city’s 25 districts.
