Indianapolis’ ONLY poetry dedicated venue hosts the 2nd Friday, all OPEN STAGE.
We wrap our arms around the 1st Amendment and freely speak, sing, drum, dance, or flow about whatever moves your soul. THEN, on the 4th Friday, we feature one of Indianapolis’ HOTTEST spoken word artists or groups with an Open Mic session between sets. Our contemporary, urban flavor and warm, inviting atmosphere makes for a relaxing and inspirational night out. Our non-smoking environment and engaging host pulls you in immediately and keeps you entertained and involved all night long.
Our 4th Friday November feature (11/27) is “Leon featuring & ’em”. Leon will entrance you with thought provoking poetry that dances on your senses and melodic cords that elevate your mind 70,000 feet above consciousness. Wont you come fly with us?
Our 4th Friday December feature, Ja’Net Edwards, one of the owners of Write On (the poetry spot), graces the stage Christmas Night for some grown-up art and conversation. Ja’Net, a filmmaker, a dancer, a poet, a screenwriter, and as she puts it, “…a slave to whatever art that moves me!” will share herself, Raw, Real and Open For Your Eyes. Share good, eat good, love good, and then come to Write On and FEEL GOOD on Christmas Night! (12/25).
