BioCrossroads to host Life Sciences Summit to discuss diabetes and obesity 

BioCrossroads has announced the 2024 Life Sciences Summit, “Transforming Healthcare: Indiana’s Role in Revolutionizing Diabetes and Obesity Management.”  

The summit will highlight Indiana’s role and contributions in the development and manufacturing of diabetes and obesity therapies. \

The summit will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Biltwell Event Center. The event will spotlight local advancements in care and foster collaboration between community leaders, researchers and patients to continue driving advancement in the field.  

Highlights will include: 

 • Keynote speech from Dr. Richard DiMarchi, nationally renowned expert in drug research and drug development.  

• In-depth discussions with leading medical diabetes and obesity experts.  

• First-hand patient roundtable discussion.  

• Presentation from U.S. Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.) 

• Presentation of the August M. Watanabe Life Sciences Champion of the Year Award. 

• Networking opportunities with top industry professionals.
