NASHVILLE, Ind. – This year, make the holidays extra special for the entire family by planning a trip to Brown County.

The Village of Nashville turns into a festive winter delight with many colorful lights, a tree walk, holiday shopping, live theater shows, open houses, carolers, train rides, carriage rides, and the kids will even have the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The Nashville Express Holiday Passport, Nov. 11-Jan. 1, 2012, offers a chance to win handmade instant prizes, gift certificates, and the grand prize of $500 and a Brown County getaway.

Visitors can fill their shopping list in the Village of Nashville in 150 shops, art studios and galleries. Reward yourself and enhance your visit experience by participating in the Holiday Passport. When you spend, your card gets punched for that dollar amount; complete a passport(s) and you become eligible to win instant prizes (including gift certificates and handmade items made in Brown County) and the Grand Prize of $500 cash and a Brown County Getaway.

Jane Ellis, executive director of the Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau, said, “Everyone loves the Holiday Passport program. You get rewarded for activities you do anyways and this year is even better, because we are giving out instant prizes that are handmade by artists in Brown County. It makes the possibility of winning that much more thrilling, because it’s not something you can get anywhere else in the world.
