The Indianapolis City-County Council will host the first in a series of local redistricting forms from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 22 in the cafeteria at Perry Meridian High School, 401 W. Meridian School Road.
The series — Your Voice 2022 — is meant to educate the public about the redistricting process and create engagement. The council will host a forum in all nine of the county’s townships.

The council originally planned to host the first forum Jan. 18 at the Nora library branch but had to cancel because of the library’s new COVID-19 rules.
Redistricting happens every 10 years after the census. The Indiana Legislature passed new congressional and state district maps in 2021.
