Martin University will host a bi-partisan voter engagement and awareness event, “Empower the Vote”, from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 on campus.

The “Empower the Vote” event will educate and engage community members about the upcoming elections in the following areas:
- Meeting the local candidates.
- Educating about voter resources and engagement.
- Volunteering opportunities for assisting potential voters and transporting voters to the polls.
- Registering to vote.
“As an educational institution, Martin University has the responsibility to provide the community various ways of informing and calling them to action to improve society,” said Dr. Sean Huddleston, Martin University president and CEO. “The ‘Empower the Vote’ event will focus on attendees understanding the importance of voting — one of our very basic freedoms — and helping them navigate and feel comfortable with the process.”
Martin University’s campus is at 2186 Sherman Dr. For more information, visit martin.edu.
